Di Marzio: Milan in talks over the renewal of on-loan miedfield star

AC Milan are ready to welcome Tommaso Pobega back into their ranks, a report claims, and the young midfielder is set to extend his contract.

Pobega has had an excellent season on loan at Serie B side Pordenone having amassed five goals and three assists across 29 appearances in all competitions.

Il Messaggero Veneto (via MilanNews) reported that Milan will not be short of options should they then choose to sell Pobega on as Udinese are ready to offer €5million, while Calciomercato.com then added that has attracted the attention of many Serie A clubs including Genoa.

According to reports from gianlucadimarzio.com, Pordenone will make a bit of cash as they will exercise their option to buy the 20-year-old before Milan will virtually instantly then use their buy-back option, meaning the second tier club get what is effectively a small development fee.

Pobega will return to Milan who are already at work with the player’s agents over a renewal of his current contract which expires in 2022, but Atalanta and Torino are lurking in the background.
