Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to leave AC Milan at the end of the season once Ralf Rangnick’s arrival is confirmed, a report claims.
According to il Corriere della Sera on Tuesday (via MilanLive), a total agreement between Milan and Rangnick has been reached after months and months of negotiations, despite yesterday’s attempts by the club to deny it.
On Saturday, before the 3-0 win against Lazio in the capital, CEO Ivan Gazidis spoke to Paolo Maldini regarding the possibility of him remaining at the club under another role, one not institutional but still managerial.
The paper adds how Zlatan Ibrahimovic is also moving towards his farewell. His mission is clear: to bring Milan to Europe and then say goodbye, and he looks set to end his career at Hammarby in his home country of Sweden – a club he owns shares in.
The 38-year-old would have happily ended his career at Milan with his favourite club, but the cards on the table have changed since his arrival and so his plans have changed too.
